Three
Directions↗
HOW I CAN HELP

A website project.
Or just the part you need.

A website is often the starting point. You can hire us for a complete build or a specific piece of writing, research, design or practical business help.

Start with your website ↗
BUY ONLY WHAT YOU NEED

Individual services.

You do not need to buy a full website. Choose a specific piece of work and we will agree on the deliverable, price and timing before starting. Except for the concept package below, these are quoted to suit the scope.

Three homepage design concepts

Three annotated previews, Sam's review and an optional 15-minute walkthrough. Newly offered price: $500. Eligible local pilot credit: $500. Pilot price: $0. No build or hosting included. Files are available on request, subject to third-party licenses.

Website review

A review of your current site with a prioritized list of changes to its message, visitor path, content and mobile experience. Agree on which pages we review and whether you want written notes, a walkthrough or both.

Positioning and offer

Customer and competitor research, reasons to choose your business and a clearer offer. The deliverable is a written brief your team or another designer can use.

Website writing

A homepage rewrite, service page, about page or another agreed set of pages. We work from real business information and mark claims that need evidence.

A landing page or a small site update

A focused page, content change or improvement to an existing site. Compatibility, access, implementation and testing are agreed before work begins.

Content and asset planning

Review what you already have, identify gaps and prepare a practical brief for writing, photography or video. Professional production is a separate partner quote when needed.

A practical workflow improvement

Map one repetitive task, identify a simpler way to do it and test an agreed improvement. Any paid software, accounts or access need your approval. Human review stays in place where judgment matters.

Website care and changes

Ask about a specific update or an ongoing arrangement. Scope, turnaround, hosting responsibilities and any recurring cost are agreed separately.

01 / WEBSITE DESIGN

Your story.
A website that fits.

Research, writing, design and a responsive website for small businesses, tourism, farms and nonprofits. Help visitors understand your offer and make it easy to inquire, call or reach your booking provider.

We agree on the scope and a tailored fixed-price quote before the build. You review the work before launch, and can request changes in ordinary language.

02 / MARKETING

Give people a reason
to care.

Explain why a customer should choose you, with words and examples your business can support.

  • Positioning, messages and offers built around what customers value.
  • Storytelling through websites, video, books and social content.
  • Campaigns and customer education that make complex subjects useful.

My background includes directing marketing at Kalona SuperNatural and developing client education at IvyWest Financial.

03 / BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT

Good relationships.
Shared possibilities.

Connect with people and organizations whose goals and audiences fit yours. Then make the opportunity practical enough to act on.

  • Support for launching a mission-driven organization: clarify its purpose, connect people and shape its first communications.
  • Partnerships, referrals and cooperative promotions.
  • Offers and events that give complementary businesses a reason to work together.
  • Donor relationships, fundraising communication and grant proposals.
  • A clearer path for following up on inquiries and building customer relationships.

For example, I helped start Kalona Regenerative Network, built its first website, and contributed imagery and messaging. See the portfolio example ↗

04 / STRATEGY

Find the constraint.
Choose the next move.

Before adding more activity, look at what is holding things back. We can work through the choices and build a plan your team can use.

  • Find: or create and focus on: your organization’s uniqueness.
  • Identify bottlenecks and align priorities, responsibilities and resources.
  • Review pricing, costs and operating results; make assumptions and tradeoffs visible.
  • Connect mission, programs, staffing, budgets and fundraising.

The aim is a useful decision and a practical next step, with progress defined for your situation.

05 / AUTOMATION & OPERATIONS

Less repetitive work.
More time for people.

Look for work that can be simplified, organized or automated so people have more time for customers, face-to-face relationships and creative thinking.

  • AI-assisted research, information organization and content preparation.
  • Human-reviewed workflows for recurring administrative tasks.
  • Process improvements and clearer handoffs between people and tools.
  • Cost review and practical models that help you examine how the work operates.

We begin with the task and the bottleneck, then scope and test a suitable workflow. People remain responsible for judgment, review and what is shared.

A FOCUSED PROJECT OR A BIGGER QUESTION

What needs to work better?

Bring the part that is difficult to explain, organize or grow. We can decide together whether the next step is a website, a bounded project, or a broader plan.
